The Royal Armory

In 1832, Carlo Alberto moved the royal picture gallery to Palazzo Madama and decided to house the Savoy family collection of arms and armors in the Beaumont gallery. Five years later, the gallery opened to the public and the Royal Armory was born. To go through this gallery as you would along a lovely hall would mean committing a perspective error. It must be seen with very special eyes, with the eyes of myth and imagination.
