THE JEAN MICHEL BASQUIAT SHOW

Milan Triennale
September 2006 - January 2007

Basquiat was an emblematic protagonist on the New York scene in the 1980’s, and one of the most popular artists of our times. This exhibition, the most important to ever take place in Europe, includes around 90 paintings, 40 drawings, many photographs and a selection of rare video footage. The exhibit documents Basquiat’s work and the context in which the East Village phenomenon rose in the Manhattan of yuppies and graffiti in museums.
